Heavy rain, snow and strong winds have battered parts of the UK today, with more than 90 flood warnings in place across England. There is a severe “danger to life” alert for Dorset, with flood water expected to be “deep and fast flowing”. Gusts of 81mph were recorded in County Down with many schools closed in Northern Ireland. Meanwhile in Dublin people have been stranded in their cars and 30,000 people have been left without electricity as a yellow weather warning remains in place until 11pm to
