#WeatherUpdate - **SQUALL LINE OF STRONG STORMS MOVING SE TOWARDS SYDNEY BASIN** BoM has dropped the detailed severe warning as there are no storms in the Sydney Basin right now, but a general severe storm warning for damaging winds & large hail continues. This next line is a big unknown - was very strong prior to its trip over the BM’s with 3cm hail observed on radar. It’s pushing into a mixed environment so could rapidly re-develop or fall apart. Those green ‘blobs’ can sometimes mean that the storm is ‘skipping’ ahead - that is the stuff over the BM’s is actually kicking up storms ahead of it created by the air mass as it heads over the BM’s.
