Who remembers the Great Blizzard of 1978 which was raging across the Tri-State 40 years ago tonight? The storm only produced around 7 inches of snow, but wind gusts close to hurricane force reduced visibility, created dangerous wind chills and produced snow drifts as tall or taller than homes.
