It’s not lost on me that these fragile lives are in my hands. It takes care and patience to help them make it to hatch. I’ve been hatching for almost 20 years and it never gets old. Shipped eggs are always a gamble. Expect to get duds and ones that don’t compete development. The rule of thumb is 50% won’t hatch. Out of these 54 eggs, only 17 are duds! I was really impressed with that number. I’ve had egg deliveries where they almost all hatch. I’ve also had batches where only a few hatch or none
