Another little orangutan has been rescued! 🧡 Only 12 months old, Kayla was recently rescued from a small village by our partner organization. Even though she had been kept in a small cage for half a year, a health check showed that – apart from a slight fever – she was healthy and strong. Kayla now has a safe new home at the rehabilitation centre in Samboja Lestari, where she has bonded with her dedicated caretakers, Irma and Sri. She’s also met little Indri, who was rescued earlier this year.
