Crafted from a fortress of tightly woven cane, this helmet was engineered for resilience. Its bear skin straps symbolise the raw strength. At the very summit rests the sacred hornbill beak, the crown of the mountains. At the Indian Museum, we do not restore to make objects look “new.” We conserve to ensure they remain “true.”
