NASA's Hubble telescope captured NGC 2985, a spiral galaxy 70 million light-years away. It has a lot of similarities to our own galaxy, the Milky Way.

By studying overlapping galaxies IC 2163 (left) and NGC 2207 (right), astronomers learned more about interacting galaxies and the star formation that occurs as a consequence. Located 114 million light-years away in the constellation Canis Major, this pair was observed by Hubble in 1996 and 1998. In 2024, astronomers imaged this duo with Webb, expanding the amount of information we have about these interacting galax
