A Pride Month runway show inside the New York City Council chamber is drawing attention online. Video released by a city council member shows dancers and performers taking over the legislative chamber during the city’s first-ever Pride Ball. The event was hosted by the Council’s LGBTQIA Caucus, with participants competing on behalf of different boroughs. For some, it was a celebration. For others, it raised questions about how government spaces are being used.
