30 years ago today (on June 11, 1988), Whitney was part of a special group of performers honored to be asked to perform for Nelson Mandela's 70th Birthday Tribute, staged at Wembley Stadium in London and broadcast to 67 countries to an audience of 600 million! The show was dubbed "Freedomfest." Many artists including Sting, Stevie Wonder, George Michael, The Eurythmics, The Bee Gees, Al Green and others performed.
