It is a 5th Class Municipality with economy mainly involved in agriculture. It is the town in La Union known for its softbrooms due to the abundance of tiger grass. Burgos continues to thrive with the abundance of agricultural opportunities, increasing tourism and increasing residence as it is situated in between San Fernando and Baguio cities.
