The 3 600-passenger cruise ship Aida Perla sailed out of the Bridgetown Port last night after being holed up in Barbados waters for six weeks as countries closed their borders to shipping. The ship, which had only some of its crew of more than 1 000 still aboard, set sail for Hamburg, Germany. Barbados is one of its two Caribbean home ports and it was among 12 ships anchored along the island’s coast.
