Pensacola has broken a 130-year-old record for total snowfall with 5 inches of snow officially reported by 5:30 p.m.

It is the highest snowfall ever recorded in the state of Florida and SW Alabama.

Snow totals are still being reported across Florida, but as of Wednesday morning, it appears Pensacola has broken the snow record for the state.
