Snow volleyball is a three-player variant of beach volleyball played in snowy conditions. Teams are allowed one reserve player and two substitutions per set, and each match is best of three 15-point sets. Additionally, a touch off the block is not counted as one of a team’s three touches.

The sport gained popularity in Wagrain, Austria, in 2008, [3] and the first Snow Volleyball Tour was set up the following year. [4] It was recognized as an official sport by the Austrian Volleyball Association in 2011. Each set is played to 15 points and to win you need to have a 2 point advantage. All set will be played to 15 (win by 2 points), even the tie breaker set. Every 5 points players switch sides to have fair conditions for both teams. The switch is immediate and quick with no delay.
