Gov. Spencer Cox has signed into law a ban on transgender students living in public college dorms that align with their gender identity — marking the third time in as many years he’s approved of legislation restricting trans Utahns.

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Gov. Spencer Cox has signed 11 more bills during the 2025 Legislative session. Cox has already signed 12 other bills from earlier in the session, including the controversial "union buster" and transgender college dorm bills.
