Microsoft finally released a macOS app for Copilot, its free generative AI chatbot. Similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT and other AI chatbots, Copilot enables users to ask questions and receive responses generated by AI.

Redditors have discovered that Copilot will recommend a script to permanently activate copies of Windows and Office. It’s a method that’s been available for a couple of years now, but it’s certainly amusing to see Copilot offer up the exact detailed steps.

Microsoft Copilot is now available as a standalone app on macOS. Up until this point, you had to use a web browser to access Copilot on a Mac. Before you get too excited, the Copilot app is essentially just a wrapped version of the Copilot web experience.
