A teenage boy was charged with having a loaded gun during a teen takeover in Naperville, Illinois, over the weekend, the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office announced. The 14-year-old from Naperville was charged with one count of unlawful possession of a weapon.

Naperville police had previously warned residents and parents of "online trends" encouraging large teen gatherings in the downtown area of the western suburb, saying more patrols would be out at such events.
