Jean-Philippe Mateta scores a classy winner as Crystal Palace earn their first Premier League away win of the season by beating fellow strugglers Ipswich.

Crystal Palace won for just the second time in the Premier League this season, beating relegation rival Ipswich 1-0 to pull clear of the bottom three on Tuesday. Jean-Philippe Mateta scored the goal in the 59th minute when he produced a stepover to befuddle Ipswich defender Jacob Greaves and then a deft chip over goalkeeper Arijanet Muric.

Crystal Palace eked out a 1-0 victory at Ipswich Town, with Jean-Philippe Mateta capitalising on a slip from his marker to score the winner just before the hour mark in Tuesday's Premier League clash.

Tony: Palace were the better team over 90+ minutes and deserved the three points. They had a lucky escape when Ipswich hit the post but overall the points rightly went to south London.
