Invest 93L is still trotting along the northern Gulf. It's basically a "blob" of showers and storms near Panama City, Florida, and is moving westward.

Invest 93L is crawling along the Gulf Coast, bringing the possibility of 8+ inches of rain in some spots, along with flash flooding. FOX Weather Hurricane Specialist Bryan Norcross gives his expertise on the system's behavior and what could come next.

We continue to follow the progress of Invest 93L, an area of low pressure that moved from the Atlantic across the northern Florida peninsula on Tuesday and is now scraping westward through the state’s panhandle along the northern Gulf Coast.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) and the FOX 35 Storm Team are tracking an area of low pressure sitting near the panhandle of Florida: Invest 93L. With plenty of fuel to feed the disturbance, Invest 93L has the potential to become a tropical depression by the end of this week.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -We’re closely monitoring Invest 93L as it targets the Gulf Coast. There’s currently a medium (40%) chance of tropical development in the northern Gulf by late week. Forecast models remain inconsistent, so there’s still uncertainty about whether a system will fully form, its potential track, or intensity:
