Metro Nashville Police officers are continuing to investigate Wednesday, they've released new details and the identity of a pedestrian who was hit and killed in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Donelson Pike Tuesday.

The mother of the man hit on Intestate 40 is sharing what she knows about the night he died on the roadway as a pedestrian.

Police said the man hit was identified as 31-year-old Johnathan Morales. He died on the scene after being hit by the RV. Police did not say why Morales was on the highway at the time of the crash.
