Colorado has broken the record for fentanyl seizures and the year still has one month to go. The state has already surpassed the total amount of fentanyl seizures that set records last year.

Colorado has officially surpassed the previous record set in the state for fentanyl pills seized, totaling 2.7 million “fake pills” confiscated so far in 2024, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Rocky Mountain Field Division (DEA RMFD).

A record-setting amount of fentanyl pills were seized from Colorado this year, with half containing likely fatal doses, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
