NCP, led by Ajit Pawar, may secure 11 ministerial posts in the new Mahayuti government, prompting a reshuffle of senior leaders.

An NCP spokesperson said the party already elected Ajit Pawar as the CLP leader and he would be the party's first choice for the deputy chief minister's post.

The Maharashtra Chief Minister will be from BJP, ally Ajit Pawar said today, adding that the two Deputy Chief Ministers will be from the alliance partners.

Pawar added that the Deputy Chief Minister positions would be given to Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena and his faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
