The Las Vegas Raiders stunned the football world on Friday when they traded a third-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks for quarterback Geno Smith. While not a top-flight player at this point in his career, Smith is more than serviceable and should be the best Raider under center since Rich Gannon.

The Raiders landed the veteran quarterback they’ve so desperately sought over the last month since hiring coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Spytek.
