Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Thursday said Google is wrong to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico on its Google Maps platform after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the body of water be renamed the "Gulf of America.

President Donald Trump said in his inaugural address that he will change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America,” repeating an idea he first brought up earlier this month during a news conference.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum responded to U.S. President Donald Trump's effort to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America — that he can call it whatever he likes as long as its his country's territory.
