A Washington State Patrol trooper who was struck and killed by a more vehicle one week ago will be laid to rest Saturday in an intimate

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was airlifted to a trauma center on Christmas Day following a high-speed pursuit that reached speeds of 140 mph and ended in a violent crash on Interstate 95. The incident began in Volusia County when a trooper spotted a vehicle swerving and speeding through traffic.

Washington State Patrol held a memorial on Saturday for the Trooper who was killed while investigating a crash in Tacoma earlier this month.

The trooper and the driver of an SUV that hit the patrol vehicle were taken to a Mobile hospital with undisclosed injuries, authorities said.
