Measles Cases Surge in South Carolina, Spread to Other States
The South Carolina Department of Public Health confirmed 99 new measles cases since Jan. 6, bringing the state’s total to 310 cases, officials said in their latest update on Friday. About 200 people who were exposed to the virus are now in quarantine. Most cases are centered in Spartanburg County, in the northwest part of the state.
