A high school football player in Massachusetts is recovering in the hospital after he collapsed on the sideline during a game on Thanksgiving.

Community members and residents in Sharon are rallying after a high school football player suffered a “traumatic brain injury” during the town’s annual Thanksgiving game against Oliver Ames.

The letter, from Sharon Public Schools Superintendent Peter J. Botelho and SHS Principal Kristen Keenan, said student Rohan Shukla experienced a “traumatic brain injury” during the game. Shukla, a sophomore, was injured during play and collapsed on the sidelines, the letter said.
