After yet another impressive preseason performance that has sparked increased hype for Big Blue's quarterback of the future, New York Giants coach Brian Daboll reaffirmed the team's plan to continue to "develop" rookie Jaxson Dart while veteran Russell Wilson remains the starting quarterback.

We love that Dart stuffed the stat sheet against an SEC gauntlet, but he buttered his bread on his first 1-2 reads. If the progression had to go longer it … simply didn’t. Dart would tuck and run. He scrambled a somewhat ridiculous 45 times considering his average athleticism.

Once the regular season begins those strides will continue to be taken by Dart behind the scenes, in meetings and practices away from the scrutiny of media and the fans. That, though, won’t last forever. Dart’s time is coming.
