Professional football has been a long and winding road for Damon Arnette. Drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Ohio State cornerback was selected with the hopes that he could help shore up the secondary.

The Houston Texans are adding depth to their secondary with a familiar name from recent draft history. After three years away from the NFL, a former first-round cornerback is getting another opportunity to prove himself at the professional level.

The Houston Texans gave out a second chance on Wednesday. They agreed to a deal with Damon Arnette to sign with their 90-man roster in an attempt to make an NFL comeback. The former first-round cornerback hasn't played in the NFL since 2021.
