Ketel Marte has been named the starting second baseman in the 2025 MLB All-Star game for the National League, beating out Tommy Edman from the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The catcher and first baseman will start alongside teammate Shohei Ohtani (DH), but second baseman Tommy Edman, shortstop Mookie Betts, third baseman Max Muncy and outfielders Teoscar Hernández

The Los Angeles Dodgers will have three fan-elected starters in the All-Star Game for the first time in 45 years, with first baseman Freddie Freeman and catcher Will Smith joining designated hitter Shohei Ohtani as winners in final ballot totals announced Wednesday.

Major League Baseball's top teams, the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers, each will have three representatives starting the 2025 MLB All-Star Game next Tuesday at Atlanta's Truist Park.
