It’s no secret that Phillies superstar Bryce Harper loves everything Philadelphia. He loves being a Phillie. He celebrates all the sports teams in the city. He has a very special relationship with the Phillie Phanatic.
Bryce Harper has always found new ways to pay tribute to the Phillie Phanatic since he arrived in Philadelphia in 2019. Ahead of this season, he found another, and a permanent one. Enlisting the help of Salt Lake City tattoo artist Hannah Matthews, Harper got the Phanatic riding his ATV inked just above his right wrist.
It started with the two wearing tributes to each other on their cleats in Harper’s first series with the Phillies, escalated with Harper getting a custom-tailored Phillie Phanatic suit and has continued with the duo routinely exchanging gifts and swag.
