Fullback Kyle Juszczyk was among the first group of players John Lynch landed in free agency after he took over as 49ers general manager in 2017. Juszczyk has responded with eight consecutive Pro Bowl seasons while also being one of the team’s top leaders in the locker room.

John Lynch made it clear he hopes the team can work out a long-term deal with Brock Purdy, who's entering the last year of his rookie contract.

Having already said they intend to sign Brock Purdy to a long-term contract, the San Francisco 49ers confirmed they are in negotiations with their starting quarterback. General manager John Lynch told reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday that they've opened talks with Purdy's camp with the goal of keeping him as their quarterback "for a long time.
