Phoenix is currently 35–40, one game behind the Sacramento Kings for 10th place in the Western Conference, and the team’s slim hopes of making the playoffs were dealt a serious blow on Monday when Kevin Durant was ruled out for at least a week with an ankle injury.

Phoenix superstar Kevin Durant will miss at least one week after suffering a left ankle sprain in Sunday's 148-109 loss to the visiting Houston Rockets, ESPN reported on Monday. Durant scored 11 points before his night ended when he rolled his ankle on Jabari Smith Jr.'s foot while driving to the basket with 6:57 remaining in the third quarter.

With his team 1.5 games out of the play-in tournament with two weeks to play, Durant's ankle sprain couldn't have come at a worse time.
