The 26-year-old Sabally told reporters during a media availability for the Unrivaled 3-on-3 league that she planned to play elsewhere this upcoming WNBA season.

With Alysha Clark becoming an unrestricted free agent this year, the Las Vegas Aces would need somebody to replace her. Alyssa Thomas is a solid option for the 2022 and 2023 WNBA champions. The five-time WNBA All-Star is an upgrade over Clark, but she was cored, which would make negotiations more difficult for the Aces.

Kelsey Plum was set to become an unrestricted free agent, but Las Vegas Aces have extended a core qualifying offer to her amid transfer rumors.

In free agency, players are separated into three classifications. Unrestricted free agents can sign anywhere. Restricted agents can negotiate with anyone but their previous team can match the offer. Core players can negotiate a deal with another team but can only move on if their previous team receives compensation in return.

With the WNBA exploding in popularity and a new TV deal bringing more revenue, the expectation is that salaries will jump in 2026 and most free agents will sign one-year contracts to get back onto the market next offseason.
