There will be plenty of movement in the AP Top 25 men's college basketball poll on Monday after a wild week of conference play across the country. Eighteen ranked teams took at least one loss, and two of them fell twice.

Duke ascended to its highest ranking in the AP Top 25 men's college basketball poll since the 2023-24 preseason on Monday with a leap from No. 3 to No. 2 behind unanimous No. 1 Auburn. The Blue Devils,

Despite Iowa State ’s 64-57 loss at then-unranked West Virginia, the Cyclones moved down just one spot. While Alabama, Florida and Tennessee stayed put, Michigan State (16-2) and Houston (14-3) made significant jumps.

The Duke Blue Devils extended the nation’s longest winning streak to 12 games, surviving Boston College’s early hot shooting and physical play to beat the Eagles behind Cooper Flagg’s 28 points.

The Iowa State men suffered their first loss of 2025 this past weekend, losing at West Virginia. Unable to get going on the offensive end, the Cyclones fell for the first time since a November defeat to top-ranked Auburn at the Maui Invitational.

Auburn is a unanimous No. 1 following a chaotic week in the men’s AP Top 25. Duke, Iowa State, Alabama and Florida round out the top five following a week in which 19 ranked teams lost at least once — including seven of the top 10.

Duke freshman star Cooper Flagg scored 42 points against Notre Dame to start a stacked Saturday slate in men's college basketball.

Iowa State (Prev. 3, 14-1): The Cyclones are proving that the Big 12 goes through Ames after a thrilling overtime comeback win at Texas Tech. Duke (Prev. 4, 14-2): The Blue Devils continue to create separation in the ACC. Alabama (Prev. 5, 14-2): The Tide had a massive road win at Texas A&M.

Cooper Flagg did a little bit of everything for Duke basketball on Saturday night, en route to a rout over Boston College.

The buzz around Khaman Maluach entering college centered on his 7-foot-2 size, incredible wingspan and ability to block shots. While he's been a deterrent for opponents around the rim -- Duke ranks second in 2-point defense nationally -- Maluach is also starting to come on as a consistent offensive piece.

As a result, Iowa State dropped 1 spot to No. 3 in the AP poll. It's still the highest-ranked team in the Big 12. Kansas moved to No. 12 this week, and Houston came in at No. 7. Duke leapt Iowa State to No. 2.
