An Akron man convicted of killing his wife last year was sentenced to prison, the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Thursday.

Akron's youth facing potential food insecurity this summer may be able to get a helping hand, and a helping of food, through the city's summer program. Beginning June 8, the city of Akron will provide meals to all eligible youth ‒ ages 18 or younger ‒ and summer day camp program participants that meet the income guidelines for reduced-price meals in the National School Lunch Program.
