Dickies clothing brand is moving from Texas to California, marking a rare corporate switch after several companies relocated from California to the southern state. Amid the great “California exodus” when major companies like Chevron, AECOM, CBRE and all of Elon Musk’s biggest businesses are moving their headquarters from the Golden State to Texas, workwear brand Dickies is opting for the exact opposite.

The move represents a real estate consolidation by VF Corp., which owns Dickies and Vans as well as outdoorsy brands the North Face, Timberland and JanSport.
