For the past decade, Brant Miller has helped families discover the magic of Christmas as one of the Santa Clauses at the mall’s Santa Experience.

Calera Police say among other calls they are taking tonight, their dispatch center, with help from k9 Zero, are also keeping an eye on Santa as he begins his approach to Alabama. Police say they are monitoring possible traffic delays and shutdowns on I-65 and Highway 25 to make sure that Santa arrives safe and secure to the area.

Many cities in Alabama are welcoming Santa this Christmas Eve. The famous fellow in the red suit is riding around saying hello to everyone in areas including Hoover and Alabaster.

The best way to follow ol’ St. Nick’s journey is with NORAD’s official Santa tracker. Since 1955, the North American Aerospace Defense Command has used its global tracking systems to follow Santa on his Christmas trip.

Depending on weather, the reindeer typically take off early Christmas Eve morning at the North Pole, and head to Australia and New Zealand.

The Grand Forks native, legionnaire and NoDak Cab Company owner has carefully developed his look. His long white beard and glasses were natural fits to the Santa aesthetic. His heartwarming demeanor is worn with great pride, as well.
