Aaron Rodgers spent 13 seasons playing under Mike McCarthy and has a ton of respect for him as a person and a football coach. McCarthy is now looking for a new head coaching job after the Dallas Cowboys parted ways with him earlier this week.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the former Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers headman removed himself from the New Orleans Saints head coaching race last night. McCarthy’s intentions will now be on the 2026 head coaching cycle.

The relationship between New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his former head coach Mike McCarthy was once thought to be irreparable. Now, those old thoughts appear to be nothing more than the perspective of outside noise and not the reality of what either side dealt with.
