How to watch Michigan State hockey vs. Ohio State on Friday
Michigan State hockey returns to Big Ten play for the first time in over a month on Friday in Columbus, Ohio. No. 2 Michigan State will head to Ohio State for a two-game weekend series, starting on Friday. This will be the Spartans' first conference game since early December.
Weber State transfer Keahnist Thompson is the 20th person to join MSU via the portal so far, committing to the Spartans on Thursday night. Thompson had 7.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks this past season across nine games for the Wildcats in 2025. The defensive end is listed at 6-foot-3 and 255 pounds and has one year of eligibility remaining.
The commitment from Parrish came at nearly the same time on Thursday as one from Southeast Missouri State EDGE Trey Lisle. The 6-7, 246-pound redshirt freshman from Arkansas had 16 tackles, including 4.5 for a loss and a half-sack, in eight games as the FCS level this season.

Michigan State gains commitment from Toledo DT
Michigan State football has earned their 18th commitment of the transfer portal season, beefing up the interior of their defensive line. The Spartans have added Toledo DT transfer Carlos Hazelwood into the class. The Markham, Ill. native will bring three years of eligibility with him to East Lansing.
Michigan State has already secured commitments from two portal offensive linemen: former UConn tackle Ben Murawksi and former North Dakota State center Trent Faley. Still, the Spartans need more help in the trenches, and Jones would likely be an immediate starter.
