Michigan State Police are investigating a freeway shooting that injured two people early Tuesday on I-94 in Detroit.

Two people were wounded in a shooting early Tuesday on Interstate 94 near Dickerson Street in Detroit, officials said.

State police began investigating early Friday morning.

A portion of the Southfield Freeway in Detroit was shut down Wednesday afternoon following a shooting, authorities said.

The person was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
