As the FAA prepares to reduce air traffic by 10% at 40 major U.S. airports, here's how to check TSA wait times and flight status at DFW and Love Field.
The FAA said it was reducing traffic by 10% in 40 "high volume" areas on Friday to maintain safety, as air traffic controllers show signs of burnout during the current U.S. government shutdown. The cuts represent approximately 1,800 flights from about two dozen states, carrying about 270,000 passengers.
Pilot sources confirmed to WFAA that the western side of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport was shut down, leading all traffic to the eastern side.
