Cole Palmer scored his first goal since September as Chelsea ended a four-game winless run with a 2-0 victory over in-form Everton at Stamford Bridge. The 23-year-old forward, still managing a groin injury that kept him out for more than two months, opened the scoring after 21 minutes in front of England manager Thomas Tuchel.
In the second half, Chelsea sought a third goal but remained cautious of the counter-attacking threat posed by the visitors. No further goals were scored in the second half, with the home team securing a vital three points at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea got back to winning ways after four matches without a victory as they earned a 2-0 win at home to Everton. Cole Palmer gave them the lead midway through the first half, and it was the man who assisted the goal, Malo Gusto, who netted their second just before the break when he converted from Pedro Neto’s cross.
Everton XI: Pickford, O'Brien, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko, Gueye, Garner, Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish, Barry.
