U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth cited biblical scripture on Thursday to attack the media, comparing reporters to Jewish adversaries of Jesus Christ plotting “how to destroy him.”

"The path of the downed aviator is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men," Hegseth read during the service on Wednesday, April 15.
