West Vancouver police responded to the activation of a bait vehicle on Nov. 23, according to a press release issued Monday.

The idea behind police bait cars is a sound one — rig up a car that’s just begging to be stolen, put it in a vulnerable spot and then wait for a thief to try his luck. It doesn’t always work, though.
