The Los Angeles Dodgers are seeing a new kind of dominance from Yoshinobu Yamamoto and his teammates are noticing.

Yamamoto is the first Dodgers pitcher to win the illustrious "POTM" award since Clayton Kershaw did it in April 2023. All-Star catcher Will Smith had some very high praise for Yamamoto when asked about him via Dodgers reporter Jack Harris:

Yamamoto didn’t allow a hit until there were two outs in the sixth inning, flirting with the third no-hitter of his professional career and his first since his eye-popping contract brought him stateside. April’s National League Pitcher of the Month lowered his ERA to 0.90.
