Alabama missed the College Football Playoff, finishing as the first team out of the 12-team field, but the Crimson Tide will still be playing in the postseason. The Crimson Tide, 9-3 on the season, are in line to make a top-tier non-College Football Playoff bowl game.

Alabama was left out of the College Football Playoffs on Sunday, but the Crimson Tide still have one more game in the 2024 season.

UM beat Alabama in last year’s Rose Bowl, a CFP semifinal. The Wolverines went on to win the national title. The Crimson Tide was in the running for a playoff spot until the very end. Alabama would likely have been in had SMU beaten Clemson in the ACC championship game, or been blown out by the Tigers.
