A man in his 30s is dead after a shooting in Minneapolis. Police say they responded to shots fired near the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Lyndale Avenue South just after 2:30 a.m. The suspect reportedly fled after the shooting, and no arrests have been announced.

Minneapolis Police were on the scene of an incident in South Minneapolis overnight, where one person was killed in an apparent shooting.

Officers responded to a shooting near Franklin Avenue and Lyndale Avenue South around 2:30 a.m. Friday. Police found a man suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. They immediately began performing CPR. He was transported by EMS to Hennepin Healthcare where he later died.
