A House Democrat from Rhode Island said Friday that he was targeted in a string of bomb threats against lawmakers and public officials around Thanksgiving. At least five Democratic members of Congress from Connecticut have been targeted by bomb threats on their homes

Most of Connecticut's congressional delegation said they were the subject of bomb threats at their homes as they were preparing to celebrate Thanksgiving, although no bombs ultimately were found.

Reps. Jim Himes, Joe Courtney, John Larson, Jahana Hayes and Rosa DeLauro — reported being the subject of such threats. Police who responded said they found no evidence of explosives on the lawmakers’ properties.

All five House Democrats from Connecticut and one of the state's two Democratic Senators reported receiving bomb threats the morning of Thanksgiving Day.

The Thanksgiving threats come one day after several of President-elect Donald Trump's staff picks reported threats.
