Oscar Piastri clinched a dominant win at the Bahrain Grand Prix, marking McLaren’s first victory at Sakhir and moving just three points behind teammate Lando Norris in the F1 standings. George Russell held off Norris for P2 as Max Verstappen finished sixth.

The Japanese Grand Prix saw Max Verstappen spoil what looked to be a McLaren victory party as the Red Bull driver nipped pole position from Lando Norris and kept Norris and Oscar Piastri at bay throughout the race for his first win of the 2025 season. Piastri made sure there would not be a repeat performance at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri produced a composed drive to win the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday, leaving the rest of the field in his wake as he led the race from start to finish.
