The NASCAR Xfinity Series is back at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for the first time since 2008 with The Chilango 150 on June 14. The Xfinity Series had a four-year stretch of races in Mexico City in the 2000s as a standalone race.

SVG ended the day 16.5 seconds clear of his closest competition in the biggest margin of victory seen in any Cup race since 2009, and any road course race since 1979.

The veteran has two career starts at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez and secured podiums in each.
